“I can’t find enough new Queer romances!”
“BookTok/Bookstagram is always talking about the same 3 books!”
“I tried to search for new Queer romance books on my phone but I ended up doomscrolling on social media and now I’ve been radicalized by the far left!”
Boy, if I had a nickel for every time I’ve said one of the above phrases! But fear not, lovely readers, for I’ve recently found out there is a monthly email blast that details new Queer romance releases. It’s published by author Skye Kilaen and features self-published authors, BIPOC authors, and other authors who could use a little amplification in a well-saturated market. She also “fell hard” for Desk Top and found it “hilarious and adorable,” so you know she has good taste.
You can sign up here. Happy reading ❤
They told me I couldn’t make money off of the little imaginary gay people in my head. They were wrong.
I’m JJ, and I write Queer romance novels. Most of them haven’t been published yet. Or finished. Or started.

Omg Gatorade said Trans Rights 🏳️⚧️🏳️⚧️🏳️⚧️

I went to my favorite yearly Pride event today. There are a lot of really scary things happening in this country right now (most of which I’m relatively safe from for the time being, but that doesn’t make them any less scary) and it felt really fucking good to be surrounded by community. It felt even better than usual, actually. I also loved how many times I saw “Fuck ICE” and “Free Palestine” written on various surfaces. Stay vigilant, but I hope you find as many little pockets of joy as you can, and that you feel safe enjoying them. 💖
Here are some really cool organizations I talked to today:
Artists Revolt is a collection of artists & sex workers who advocate & raises funds for the most marginalized members of their communities.
Latino Equality Alliance provides community & support for LGBTQ+ folks within the Latine/x diaspora.
Queers For Palestine organizes group action & raises funds to end the ongoing genocide of Palestinians.
Happy Pride, keep rioting 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️🏴☠️

Welcome.
Hi there, I’m Some Guy. I’m about to publish my first book. It’s called Badges & Broomsticks. It’s very gay. It is currently almost midnight where I am and I have been staring at screens for the past twelve hours and if the Adobe software suite were a human I would throw a drink in its face. Not a yummy drink, either. Like, an ICB that someone didn’t finish and has been sitting out for a few hours.
